Default Need help: brake lights don't work

Alright, today while I was getting my car inspected I was notified that my rear lights didn't work. So...I went and replacee all my bulbs and still nothing...I check the fuse and still good. When you turn on the night lights (head lights) the rear lights DO come on, but when you brake, it doesn't come on. Can someone please tell me or guide me as what this problem could be. The third light doesn't work either, so I'm thinking it could be the third light affecting the others. Don't really now, but tomorrow I'll find out. I'll appreciate any help. I need to get this car inspected by Friday at the latest. Thank you all

Inspect the brake light switch, activated by the brake pedal arm.

Insure it's plug is seated, and the switch is not cracked.

With a flashlight, observe the switch operation as the plunger extends from the switch adjuster.

The switch is adjusted by loosening the locknut on the switch mount, then rotating the switch.

Sorry for my ignorance, but i couldn't locate this switch. I looked briefly with no luck. Where exactly is this switch? Thanks again!
