hi just wanted to introduce myself new to the es 300 family i currently own a 1996 es 300 i call it the funeral cause it's all black i painted the whole car solid black it has 130,000 miles still run like a champ the interior is still in good shape i am the second owner for this car. The es 300 is sitting on 20" ballastic rims custom drilled to fit on some wanli's 245/35/20 but it is rubbing in the back when i put people back there so i will need to go down to the 225/35/20. I also got a mercedes benz grill custom made to fit the front of my es 300. next step is mercedes benz lights in the mirror, customizie 2 12 " speakers, a in dash t.v. radio and lambo doors. I have pictures of my car but dont know how to post them.

thank you i feel so great to be a part of the club i feel so welcome like i am right at home well anyways my car is a good car and i like my car but these are the problems i am aiming on fixing 1.the guy that i brought my car change the timing belt at 75,000 miles and know i will have to get that changed soon the labor for timing belt change is $225 flat parts should be around $100 so thats $325 2. power steering pump is leaking thats $480 from the dealer but i think i can find that cheper at a aftermarket company. 3.valve cover gasket is leaking it is not leaking bad but since it is my car and i know it is leaking it's messing with my nerves thats $16.24 each at the dealer I need 2 of those than you have to take of the intake manifold to get to the valve cover that is $11.64 for that than since they are right there might as well change the spark plugs to for 6 of them they are $68.88 the cord set wires are $58.88. 4. the top engine mount buy the power steering pump is loose that is $64.88 at the dealer so about $1000 worth of work here i will have to do step by step which one do yall think is the first priority?

Cool

1) The timing belt replacement is now every 90,000 miles & change the pump - unless you fall under the harsh useage C schedule
2) Find out what part of the P/S pump is leaking. It could be just lines, or a fitting. Beware of incorrectly installed power steering pumps. There have been a lot of people with P/S problems from mis-installed / bad work.
3)
a) Stick with NGK, or Denso spark plugs. The normal plug is $1-2 a pop & will last a long time. Plat's are only $4-6. Skip iridiums. They're expencive & don't see any advantage in these engines.
b) Stay with your current spark plug wires. Unless you damage them, they are life-long parts & rarely fail. If you do have to replace them avoid aftermarket wires like the plague. They're all low-quality crap. Either spend the $100 for Toyota wires, buy some Vitek wires, or pay $250 for Magnacore wires.
4) The dog bone mount. You can rebuild it with 3M Window Poly sealant, or buy an aftermarket piece.

If you only have physical pictures (from a film camera), then yes you need to use a scanner to be able to transfer them to computer file format. If you or your friends don't have a scanner, you can go to an office or copy store like Staples and Kinko's where they have a scanner you can use for a small charge. Camera stores also have scanners, though I'm not sure how much they charge.

Welcome to CL Young!!! Congrats on your purchase, you will be nothing short of enamored with any Lexus vehicle!!!

2 additional things. When making a multiple sentance paragraph, please use punctuation. It can get difficult reading without it.
Also, scissor doors? Not so sure about scissor doors on a 4-door. Always seems to look a bit out of place.
