Does anyone have any experiences with after market wood dash kits? (good or bad)

Liked the full wood dash but dealer was asking 1900.

Any replies would be appreciated.

Thanks to all.

Aloha!!

I haven't experienced one, but considered this place in cali....I think it's exoticwooddash.com or something. I'll look for that site. A dash for 97+ ES it's about $200-$250.

The guys said it's not possible to match EXACTLY, but it's close. That's what he says, though. I'm just hesitant because I don't know how close of a match it really is. I'm in Hawaii so I can't go to their shop.

I'd like to find out too if anyone has experiences with aftermarket dash kits.

Oops! My mistake.

The site is www.exoticwooddash.com, but they are located in Scottsdale, AZ. (thought they were in Cali)

Anyone near Scottsdale, who can check their kits out?? To see how close the real wood dash kit is to the factory pieces that are already in the car (my 99 has factory wood kit pices on all 4 door switches, transmission cover, and ash tray on center console)

Default Wood Dash Kit

I have the Exotic Wood Dash Kit. I purchased one from the factory for my '97 and from EBAY for my '00. It looks great. Many people have seen this and have purchased their own kits. It took me a grand total of ten minutes to install. I am very happy with it.

Took the plunge and ordered a kit from Exoticwooddash.com. Color looks good hard to compare looked at it last night in the garage. Price was good only $161 with free shipping for my 2001 es. Will test fit this weekend. Will keep you updated. If all works out I feel good - dealer wanted $1200 for what looks like the same kit as a dealer option. ha!
