Default jdm engine swapp

any differences between the japanese 3vzfe and the US 3vzfe. would there be any major/minor differences in wiring or anythin? i need to know because i need a new motor and you can get these jdm engines for cheap becus they just scrap their cars at like 30-40 thousand miles so engines are dirt cheap after that. or is this just a direct swapp?

You can use the block just fine. Just keep in mind all JDM engines don't have EGR equipment which all US vehicles have for federal regulations.

If you think about it literally, all 3VZ-FE's are JDM since they're all made in Japan. You just have a difference in J-Spec or US-Spec.

Default update!!!!

for anybody that is interested....i have bought a jspec 3vzfe and it will arrive shortly. at first i was a bit skeptic about doing this but my research from camryman.org and toyotanation.com tells me that many people have done a jdm swap and the only thing that might occur is a check engine light due to no egr equipment.
many pics to come people!!!! ill give a review of how well it will come out and how the car will drive.
