There is no short shifter for the 92-93 3VZ-FE V6 Camry DX/SE V6 model or the 92-93 ES300 3VZ-FE. Although the manual shifter assembly from a newer Camry 97-01/Solara 99-01(MCV20) and the TRD short shifter for that particular model can be fabricated to fit the VCV10 chassis.

Yes the VZV21 5spd Manual (ES/Camry) is as rare as the VCV10 5spd Manual (ES & Camry). Very limited.

just reviving this thread. But I just bought one this week.

Needs some work, but it'd be nice if all of us 5sp es300 people knew who each other are. We could be a good resource to one another.

Default ES300 5 Speed here also!

I also have an ES300 5 speed. Speaking of being rare, its a great thing to have such a rare vehicle, but man its hard to find performance parts.

I just sold my integra to buy this ES300 and I am dying for a shortshifter.

I dont want to rice it up or anything like that, but I sure do want a shorter shift, sometimes I feel like a grandpa driving down the street.

Default rpms and speed?

Hey swifty!

My speedometer isnt working right now, can you tell me what your rpm's are when you are going 35 and 45mph on 4th gear.

Also, rpms at 25mph on 2nd gear.

Thanks.

lol...my speed sensor doesn't work . but i do know what speed i'm going at.

also i think cops are train to estimate how fast your going just by looking.

but anyways...

2nd gear 25mph @ about 2000 RPM. unsure about this one. should be.

4th gear 35-40mph @ 2500-3000 RPM
drop it into 5th gear and its 2000 RPM for 40mph.

also i think theres a Gear / Speed Ratio List . if i find it i'll post it up.

for the short shifter, i believe the celica TWM short shifter works with the 3vz-fe platform. I cant remember the exact year but you can do a search on toyotanation.

I also have a 92 5 speed with 97K.. Still original clutch.. No problems. Car has been flawless so far.. How long will the clutch last? I dont really beat on her and I always double clutch. Where can I Find one? Can I just order one for a Camry V6 and save some $$$?

i have one too! Mine was a pre production press car that was never crushed. Its still sitting in my garage. I never got it to start yet. Has original everything. I think i'll change all the fluids and fill er up with good new gas and she'll probably start. Just haven't gotten around to it. You know how projects are.

So this car is revving at 3000 rpm at 60mph in 5th?? Sounds really high to me. Thats higher than a manual civic.
