Hello everyone! Here's the story. Around 2 months ago replaced the fuel tank from a local shop. Immediately after replacing the tank I couldn't refuel the car properly, it was clicking every 5-6 seconds. Later, after 1 week the car started stalling at red light and idle. Went to another local shop, they replaced the charcoal canister as they said the canister was full with fuel. Now I'm getting P0441 code. Yesterday I was checking the engine bay and found one of the hose from vent purge solenoid was disconnected. So I reconnected and car was stalling again. Today I checked if the purge valve is okay or not, tried blowing air and it was closed. I saw liquid fuel inside the hose and valve. I'm totally frustrated now. Spent a lot of money already. Anyone with similar issue or could share some insight? Liquid inside the hose
This hose from the purge valve solenoid was disconnected
I think the shop that replaced the tank did a bad job. I think the hoses are not connected properly.
If the solenoid had any gasoline in it I suppose it is dead.
First, you need to check it there's any fuel in the new canister. If yes, you have a problem with the tank itself.
There's no doubt the first shop did a bad job. I went to another shop for a charcoal canister replacement yet the problem is persistent. I went there yesterday to say that their fix didn't work, the mechanic also has no clue why it's happening. I told him about wrong connection may be, he told me it's not possible as the hoses are different in sizes, so there's no way to connect hoses in the wrong way. I told him to check the purge valve solenoid (under the hood). Anything else should I tell him to check? Seemed like the mechanic is not enough knowledgeable.
I'm also suspecting the same thing. I'm wondering why it's happening! I asked the mechanic if he checked the canister before installing, he said that it can't be tested, only he heard click from the valve and guessed it was good. Could the fuel tank cause all of this? I bought the tank from amazon.

Charcoal Canister would throw a check engine code. If a hose was loose, it would leak and throw a code. They can confirm by doing a smoke test.
Have them do a smoke test to check for leaks under the hood and under the car (canister). But again, any leaks the check engine light would be on.
Gas tank could also be an issue. You mentioned Amazon. How much was OEM?
Oem was around $1000. From amazon I got it for $265 TRQ brand. But if the tank was incorrect, shouldn't they face problem with the hose connections? What else could be wrong with tank?! Pump is running okay.
Your symptoms indicate there may be issues with the roll-over valve/cut-off valve and fuel tank. I have attached these testing procedures for the problem areas.
The roll-over valve/cut-off valve may have already been defective or they may have been damaged during the new fuel tank installation, and it's allowing free flow out of the tank and not into it!
Thanks man, appreciate your resources. There's a difference between the tank diagram you gave me. If you see the tank of es350, there's no removable cut off valve or roll over valve. Is300 has that removable. I'm wondering if the valves are inside the tank and therefore requires to replace the whole tank or it's inside the filler neck. I will ask the mechanic to check. Anything else do you recommend? Tank for es350, there's only option to remove the fuel pump, other than that there's nothing removable from outside.
I checked the vent valve solenoid today. I unplugged the hose and kept car running about 10 mins. After 10 mins I put my hand on the vent from the picture. It felt like sucking air non stop. The marked vent goes to the canister tube. Is this normal?
The diagram is very general and it's not exactly to scale. The location of the roll-over/cut-off A.K.A. vent valve might be outside near the fuel tank.
I have attached testing procedures for the VSV. Again, your issues are in the areas that I have mentioned in the earlier post.
