Default Battery keeps draining es 330

2005 es 330 88,000 + miles
My battery keeps draining after I've jumped it. It's the third new battery in about that length of time. This one is less than a year old. I read it could be the 120 fuse. Has anyone else found and fixed the problem by replacing the 120 fuse? The car has been sitting now for about a month. What precautions should I take when going to jump it? I live in CO and it's warming up but my garage has been in the 30s at best.

With the new battery, I ran a test since using my sunroof seemed to corollate with the battery going dead. I had to jump it once, then I decided not to use my sunroof. After about 2 months I used the sunroof and the next morning the battery was low. Strange Siince then the battery keeps losing its energy. Finally, it won't even start when I jump it.

I'm hoping it's not the starter motor/relay or the alternator. Could I tell the difference between the two?

I have a Vector 700A peak battery jump starter, it works great but could this be damaging the battery in any way? I have a high-end battery and the 700A is much lower, would that make a difference? I want to try changing the fuse first.
Thanks much Lynn

Do you drive the car everyday? Or does it sit for over week between drives? Like every other product made these days, the quality of automotive batteries has gone way down! They don’t hold power very long, if the voltage falls to low they cannot be recharged, even in optimal conditions their lifespan is about half what they were 20years ago.
If you’re driving it everyday then something is probably draining the power while it’s parked. You need to check all the lights etc looking for anything that is staying on when it’s parked. If you only drive it once a week then you need to get yourself a maintenance battery charger that can keep the battery charged automatically which will ensure maximum life. Also you should find the best battery option available for your car, most cars come with a battery just big enough to get by. But there usually design the battery location to allow for an upgraded battery size. If you can get the battery group size info from the sticker on it, I can give you some better options to replace it with. Also the battery geade is going to effect is life. The budget size is going to be a 2year battery, the standard size is 3year and the Gold, will be a 4 year. The longer life, the more the cost.

And the jump starter is not going to be a factor in your battery life. But a jump starter should be for rare emergencies. You really should have a battery charger for situation. A charger will help the battery live as long as possible, any time the battery is weak and just bearly gets the car started, then the alternator has to try and run the car and recharge the battery, this is hard on the alternator and the battery.
