Door Control Receiver Module
I much prefer the interaction on this forum to Google Search Results, but their new AI search is getting pretty good...
Here's the cut & paste results:
On a 2005 Lexus ES330, the Wireless Door Control Receiver Module (essentially the part that receives signals from your key fob) is typically located within the Body Control Module (BCM), which is usually found behind the dashboard on the driver's side, near the steering column.
Key points to remember:
- BCM is the central hub: The Body Control Module manages various electrical functions in the car, including door locks, so the receiver module is integrated within it.
- Access might require removal of panels: To access the BCM, you might need to remove some plastic panels on the dashboard.
- Consult a service manual: For precise location and access instructions, always refer to your vehicle's service manual.
Generative AI is experimental.

Well, apparently the Google AI search was WRONG, as @tammap 's diagram shows it at the opposite pillar :-).[1] https://www.prestigelexus.com/why-is-your-lexus-car-not-locking-properly

They do need to learn to more carefully distinguish the specifics from the generalized. "typically" and "usually" are pretty weak modifiers after declaring "On a 2005 Lexus ES330...".

Well, believe it or not, even the Factory Parts Catalogue can be amiss sometimes, here is a thread about it.
I am mostly just curious about why would anyone need to access said Door Control Receiver in the first place, usually they are pretty much indestructible as they are pretty simple devices, is there any specific issue you are trying to diagnose?
To be perfectly honest, the more developments there are in the AI systems, the harder it is for me to find specifically what I am looking for, as counter intuitive as it may seem, I've even given up trying to look up concrete definitions for Fault Codes using Google, exactly because of those AI "enhancements", all it does is make a simple response a lot more convoluted, adding unnecessary, and often confusing wording, as it doesn't have the ability to read it back and confirm that everything it wrote makes sense. When I try to look up a code, all I need to see is what's the Factory Defined description, and what Logic was used to trigger said Code, not the long essay about how to fix all my problems. Try to look up P0125 code for example, and you will spend the next eternity chasing your tail with a failed Thermostat, even though it has nothing to do with this Code appearing in the first place, here is the thread about that as well.
Buut I am getting off topic, hopefully it's not AI that made you look for said Door Control Receiver..
Hope this helps and best of luck!
