Max tire width stock 16 wheel
They will fit, but they will not look lower or have a lower sidewall. The sidewall height is a proportional measurement in %, not absolute. So the “profile” from 10’ away of a 215/60 vs 225/55 on a 16” wheel will be the same or pretty close, just a few mm difference. The car is not so powerful it requires a 225 width tire, either (apples to apples, so to speak - same adhesion characteristics). I would not swap good 215 tires out to do this, but if you were buying new tires to replace worn ones, it would do no harm other than a tiny bit to mileage and odo/speedo error.
If you want the look, get the 17” wheels and use 215/55-17. The ES330 had that option, and any 7 x 17, ~45mm offset Toyota or lexus wheel will fit.
