Broken engine mount
The ES line has a reputation for being super reliable and my 2014 300h has been so far. However after 133,000 miles I finally had my first problem. The engine felt like it was thumping when it came on occasionally. Took it to the dealer who showed me that one of the mounts was broken. Got it replaced and it runs good as new! I forgive the car for this problem after 133,000 miles!

They charged $263 but that included $80 for an oil change. So I guess $183 for the mount, including labor plus $80 for the oil change. I dont think it is unreasonable. Our other car is a Hyundai and there is night and day difference between the dealer experience at Lexus and at Hyundai. I dont mind paying a bit more and deal with more reasonable people (so far at least).
wow how is it possible - the part is just under $150 - so they charge not even $50 for labor ???

If your postulation is true, this would be the very first case of any dealer of any car maker that I heard of where the time is "combined". the job is easily one hour job. Unless.....

Did you get to see the bad mount part ?

Stevinson Lexus in Lakewood, CO. I really like them.
Once I took the car in for an oil change. I had forgotten that it was only after 3,000 miles or so. They did not change the oil. Checked everything at no charge and sent me away for another 2,000 miles. I was surprised!
I am looking at the invoice. They replaced the "dog-bone" engine mount. Parts were $166.16.
I am sorry I had made a mistake. The total was 364.01 before taxes. So labor including oil change as $197.85

It takes less than ten minutes to replace the dog-bone mount on the 3.5 in the ES. 5 minutes for a seasoned mechanic. So the labor charge was actually inflated. But, they "can't" charge in 5-minute increments.
