I wanted to make a little summary and report on my experiences with the 10.25 Inch Headunit from Binary. There is another thread here on CL in the 3IS area, where I have gone more in depth with some troubleshooting and other quirks I have had with it. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/cl-...models-37.html.
I'd also like to emphasize that these units are aftermarket, so you can't expect to have a "perfect" OEM experience with them. Whether it be a translation issue, or some weird quirk that may appear. However, I have had a near-OEM level experience with the Binary unit and am very happy with it. I opted for the Binary unit, although it is more expensive than some on AliExpress/1688, I believed it would be the "best" quality as I wanted longevity and support. Reyn from Binary has given me great support and speaks English well if that may worry some of you.
The headunit has been installed in my 2017 ES350 for over a year now, it has gone through the Texas Summer heat where its over 100+ for days (and I park outside). On the opposite end, I don't know how the unit performs in the cold, as the lowest it's gotten here is in the 20s. I have had 3-4 hiccups with it, the first was an issue with parking sensors that was quickly fixed with help from Reyn. Phone calls was another issue, which was quickly resolved. The other times was the unit would not boot, I am not sure what causes this, but the fix is just to restart the unit by holding down "Home and the Back" button on the joystick/jog/mouse controls. This is better than what I have experienced with the OEM Infotainment on my Genesis GV70.
The unit runs Android but I have only been using it for Wireless AA/CP. I have been told it does support anything an Android-based system will, but I haven't used it myself. Audio is exactly the same as OEM, Screen quality is great and the bigger size is exactly what Lexus should have shipped with the car in the first place. Factory Backup Camera still works. It maintains the OEM system and you are able to swap back and forth at will. I also installed one in my friends ES300h. I installed his a month ago and is running perfectly. This time it came with instructions that have images and step-by-step information on how to connect the harnesses and take apart any trim pieces.

If anyone has any questions, please ask and I will try to answer them the best I can!
If you want to do a video call to see how the unit works, I will be more than happy to. I have had someone ask for that before.
My biggest drawback of installing any AA/CP unit is that on my ESh I heavily use the hybrid battery monitor on my screen and keep my gauge cluster screen on the in-the-moment MPG. I really miss CarPlay but switching back and forth either between battery monitor and MPG on the gauge cluster or between CarPlay and stock system seems like it would be annoying. I'm almost considering getting a standalone CarPlay unit that would just sit on the dash. First world problems lol
