Key programming/Body module issue
I had two keys cut and programmed by the Lexus dealer yesterday. They are Lexus keys (one master and one sub-key). They couldn’t get the new master key buttons lock/unlock functions to work and said it is most likely a wiring issue due to the aftermarket stereo installation, and it would take a lot of time to figure it out to get the body module to work. Both keys drive the car though.
Would the radio install affect the body module function?
Any suggestions if I decide to look at the wiring myself?
(I didn’t have the aftermarket stereo installed, car came that way)
Thank you,
Robert

Stereo system is not related to your problem unless something was inadvertently damaged when the sound system was installed. Maybe the tech simply didn't know how to program the remote function?
Hello,
If you have Techstream software, you can try programming the remote yourself, below is the video on how to do so.
Depending on what was done during the stereo installation, the technicians may have simply forgotten to reconnect the Remote Door control module, which should be somewhere behind the Climate Control unit. With that, it would be helpful to learn more information on the issue before tearing into the center console in search of wiring issues.. Do you still have the contact with the previous owner of that car?
Hope this helps and best of luck!
