Don't personally have one, but I remember a thread about this a few weeks ago, where it mentioned that they're hard to come by outside of the West Coast (Lexus "regionalizes" the allocation of cars with certain options). Since your profile says you're in NY, it would likely be a special order to get a car with the AVS.

Default I can feel the

difference in the way the suspension feels with the AVS. It changes the handling very little, though. I use the firm suspension at higher speeds and comfort when on bumpy roads. I also notice that my car bottoms out often though. It could be the fact that I carry case files in my trunk. I currently have 3100 miles after my first month and still think it was money well spent.

On a $30k car, a $700 option is not a lot of money.

I kind of agree with mikey.

Once you get past a certian price point 2 grand in options and destination fees aint exactly breaking the bank now are they???

There's far more than 2 grand in ES options these days. You can take each option and say its insubstantial compared to the price of the car. But you pick enough of them and the car is no longer at an entry-level luxury sedan price.
