Hello,

I wouldn't necessarily say that your explanation really made a ton of sense..
What exactly happened prior to the CE light?
Did you try resetting the ECU by unplugging the battery for a few minutes?
Did you try testing the TPS? Is it working? If you have a 3-pin sensor, you cannot re-adjust it.

Your particular code seems like an easy fix, since you have the code and the symptoms of a bad TPS, so just try checking it first, then check the wiring. At the very least that will give some related information..

Hope this helps and best of luck!

I am sorry about the confusion. I am basically looking for the adjustment procedures for this 4pin TP sensor.

What happened prior is that the engine was running fine at start then would idle down to around 450rpm. So I thought cleaning it would help. However I took off the 4pin connector from its position giving me a CE light. I have tried to clear the code with a cheap reader and still code exists.

My next step is to disconnect battery to clear code. I would still need to adjust this TP sensor given that is has elongated holes to adjust. I know that it needs adjusting because if the TP sensor is positioned another way the vehicles idles high then dies or just idles higher then normal while parked.

I thought it might have been a bad TP sensor but it never gave me a CE light. Until I took it apart to clean it. Only then shortly after did the CE light come on.

Hope this explains what is going on. If someone could maybe access all data for an adjustment procedure. I had just spoke with a ol' toyota tech but no one has access to all data so far so that I could get this sensor back in its right position.

I've Checked out the link and tried to adjust myself. Could not adjust but was able to connect with someone to get a hold of a used but un-opened one.
PROBLEM FIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Put in the used but un-opened one and idle took sometime to adjust to elevation.
