I've tried..." We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. At one time,(two decades ago?) this may have been true, but now with platinum and Iridium ground electrodes, this "problem" has gone away. Plus, my experience at the track, running a supercharged drag-bike, with 14 lbs of boost, 11,000rpm, burning 110 octane Leaded gas, the Iridiums were the "bomb".The "Duals" shaded the spark, didn't last, and you couldn't properly index them. Again, jmo. Your results may vary.

When you pull out the PCV grommet, be careful as people experienced it being brittle and so breaking and small pieces falling into the hole. Let us know how it goes once you are done and if it fixes the hesitation issues. I am also due on plugs (120K) and plan to get them changed soon along with wires and PCV.
