Default Let's play... guess that leak location...

2000 ES300, 140K; pretty decent oil leak from passenger side of engine. Source of origination is the game here. Is it coming from the cam seals, the valve cover gasket(s), around the head... where? Virtual stars and accolades for best theory. Hint: this car "supposedly" has had the valve cover gaskets replaced, and the cam and crank seals replaced at 98K.

front passenger corner of engine where the head meets the block

Looks like valve cover gasket to me but hard to tell without inspecting it.

Feels like Dejavu... very similar situation on my 98 es300. Cam/crank seals replaced 3 years back and doesn't seem to be valve cover but mine is minor leak (less than penny size over night) and I am going to ignore it for now. Anyways, you can try Engine leak dye and those yellow glasses to help find the leak.
Come back and tell us if u find out.

Rare that its the heads on these. Its usually the VC gaskets, or the Camshaft seals. Occasionally you see a leaking waterpump.

Me thinks that it is the cam seals -- I cannot see any evidence of VCG leak around the perimeter (except for passenger side because I cannot see it under the timing cover). But I will not know definitively from where the leak is coming until I run the leak-dye test. This is the next step. If it is common enough knowledge... what mileage do the cam seals usually start to leak (in a temperate climate that is)?

Honestly its hit/miss. Sometimes they go 200k, sometimes 50k. The ones in my ES get replaced every TB/WP change because they are right there. Last time (160k) I was going to do the crank seal too, but it isn't leaking and was far to difficult to get at. If I ever have to pull the engine, I will change it then.
