Recently had an alternator fail. Replaced with OEM part. Charging system up and running to spec but now after you drive for a few minutes the transmission loses communication with TCM data and starts shifting crazy all over the place. I've seen a few hits on this online but no solution. gill23 had this happen but I have not been able to reach him. Odd thing is you can disconnect the battery for a few minutes and it will then again shift fine for a few miles. It doesn't start to slip it gets VERY erratic. If I look at the data stream the transmission data is delayed. Some kind of crazy electrical issue with the communication circuit.
