Ecu memory resets with key
Hello, new to the forum. Sorry to make my first post a problem. Have had a 96 es300 for around 2 years and when I went to smog it, it passed everything but the monitor check. Car runs perfect but after checking into the problem I found it is resetting every time I key off and back on. Was hoping to get the pin out for the ecu or even the location of the constant hot to the ecu so I can check and see if it's getting power all the time. Car did have an alarm in it at one time, kinda hoping it's just a clipped wire. Thank you in advance

Good chance if you inspected the harness and connectors going into the ECU you'll find the problem.

See if there are any wires cut or spliced, or a relay put inline. Has the alarm system been completely removed or is there stuff still under the steering column. I could be wrong but I think the ECU gets constant power from the AM1 fuse 40 amp and the 10 amp gauge fuse. And of course it gets switched power from the ignition.
edit - here's a wiring diagram for a 1994 Camry close enough page 81 shows constant power to the ECU.
