Question 2000 Lexus ES300 Transmission disengaging but Restarting fixes it for 5 minutes

I can drive and drive my car for 4 blocks and it starts driving just fine. Then it jerks a little and transmission completely disengages. I tried putting the transmission in R, L, 2 and D and it doesnt make a difference at that point. If I turn the engine off, wait 2 minutes, and restart, the car starts driving just fine for another 4 blocks and then the same thing happens. My friend who knows more about transmission thinks its not a transmission issue and it is something else because upon restarting the car, transmission starts working just fine. Please let me know what I should do or check for or if anyone here went through the same thing.
Relevant info:
1- 2000 Lexus ES300 - 176K
2- Transmission fluid level is good and is pink in color with no evident issue
3- No check engine light at all

Sounds like your Torque Converter Clutch lockup Solenoid is out, but it could also be a computer issue. I would change that solenoid first.
