CheckEngine Light Not Working
Guys, I just realized that my check engine light isn't working in my 1999 Lexus ES300. How I even found out was that I took the car to my mechanic who hooked It up to his diagnostic tool and found some error codes (knock sensors)........but the check engine light never came on. After I found that out, i got in the car and turned the key on but didn't start it, no noticed that the check engine light didn't even light up then.. I did some research and found that dot could possibly be a burnt out bulb? Or, cod this something that someone could have disengaged?
It's not a big issue for me since I'm getting one of those "automatic" devices that you plug into your car and it reads and sends you emails on any errors it finds. Just wondering.

it will be the bulb dude. really easy to replace. just remove the dash you'll see the bulbs on the back of it.
[edit] some of those devices don't work with the ES300 which isn't really OBDII compliant.

Thanks for responding. I will see about taking the dash apart and replacing the bulb.
