How to disarm factory security?
Hello, I have a 96 ES300. The security system has started to go haywire here lately. It will go off randomly. I have just quit locking the doors for the last couple of weeks. For now, I would like to just disarm it so I can lock the doors. I only have the one key that has the transmitter that hasn't worked in years. We manually lock and unlock the doors and trunk anyway
I have looked at both fuse panels and didn't see anything that is labeled "alarm" or "security". Any help would be appreciated. Is there a fuse, relay or wire that I can disconnect temp. until I can fix it right? Thanks in advance.

I know on the 3ES the dome light fuse disables the power locks. But it also disables the power seats and clock and power mirrors. I don't know if there is anything to disable the alarm for safety reasons.

Finally I put in the new battery and tried it. It works like the first day I bought this car! No sync is needed. Opened the door and started the engine, drove a blocks then back and parked, locked the doors, everything is normal. I don't know why I didn't think of the battery issue which should be the first to try. Actually now I noticed that with the old, original battery, when I press any button, the red LED still flashes but much dimmer than now with new battery.
Thank you lostape45 for the help.

hey there, i know this is back from 2014 and it is now 2021, so im unsure if you still own your es, but i had gone through a similar hard time dealing with the factory security system, in that the engine would no longer turn over because of it going into protection mode and cuts all power to the engine and accessories inside, the only way i had found to properly fix this issue is whenever the alarm would sound (which in my case was just about 3 times a day sometimes) was to stop the alarm with the key in the ignition, pull the key out, step out of the car and close the door, but the key in the outer door lock and twist towards the front of the car till it clicks and then twist towards the rear if the car till the click and then i would be able to jump back in and the car would immediately fire right back up without any issues
