Default Help with double sided tape

Does anyone have any experience with getting double sided tape off a car? i had a DIY lip on my es and now i cant get the tape off.

WD40 is a good suggestion, also you can also try a citrus solvent like Goo Gone or Citrasolv.

Heat gun! Literally run heat gun and it will soften it to where you could remove it much easier. Residue can be removed with some mineral spirits/wax and grease remover from auto body store.

Be very careful with a heat gun, it can easily melt plastic parts.
