So first thing i noticed is when i put the car in reverse the P and L outline light up and it only does it in reverse.

Now tonight Look down and ECT power is on. Hit the button to turn it off and the light did not turn off. Tried again and there is a very slight brightness difference from on and off. Noticed this only does this when my parking/headlights are on. If i turn them off ECT light works as normal.

Anyone see this before? 2ES

 

This sounds like a ground problem.

Think back, did you (or anyone else) do anything to your car in the last little while that required you to re-wire something?

Did you add/change any accessories, or audio components?

Any mechanics work on your car?

Last time any work was done was about 3 months ago when i had timing belt and water pump done.
Audio system has not been touched in years.

I will double check the ground on the passenger side here in a few. Was out today had lights on (raining) works fine for 2 min then the problem started. Noticed after i came to a harder stop then normal went out for a few moments then back on when i started moving again.

 

My dash lights have been acting crazy too, the pins are not lit and sometimes all the gauge lights will turn off and speedometer will stay on zero. Mileage says 888 and im worried because I just bought the car someone please help. Im hoping that it is just the bulbs and not an electrical issue.
