Air Bag Light
Someone who knows how to disable the light please let me know. I have a 92 ES300 and the AIR BAG light is on constantly. I am pretty sure that it is a maintanence type thing, where you go into the dealer and they check if the air bag is working properly and then they do something to make the light go away. Does anyone know how to do that? Thank you for all your help.

didn't you state you were selling the car?
I think you may be infringing on some law here.
Don't jeapordize the safety of the car (or the potential buyer).
Get it checked by a qualified person.
In the meantime, check the fuses.

In my 92-93 Camry service book it must say 5,000 times in the first 10 pages.
If you disconnect the battery for any legnth of time it'll discharge the backup power for the airbag.
Take it to a dealer and have them reset it. It takes a "scpecial tool" to do it.

when you say 2 huge yellow plugs do you mean the harnesses?
there is a way to reset and clear the code
which involves shorting 2 pins on the diagnostic plug and grounding them in intervals
but if it is on then it is more than likely that you have a problem that needs to be fixed

my airbag light is always on, on both my 93 ES300 parts car, and also on my 93 ES300 daily driver. what can I do to re-set it?
which plug do you speak of skperformance, and what are the grounding intervals? If there is a problem with airbag module, won't it just trip the ABS light again? I did just have battery out when I re& re'ed the cluster.

DOH!! I am trying to use the search engine to minimize extra posts (a lot of people flame you for re-posting stuff that has been asked before). maybe I should ask this question in a new topic. this one seemed to be the best hit.
I thought it was '07 (oops, that was July). either way...it's still pretty old, isn't it?
