Default projector modification for blue cutoff

When you see blue or purple from those audi's and bmw's, what you're really seeing is the color at the very top of the cutoff. By re-designing the cutoff, I was able to create the color for my hella projector fogs, and for my audi TT headlights. 1st pic is the fogs.

more fogs:

just came across this thread and saw the bottom pic

Do you have angel eye mods on those headlights or is that just a reflection?

Wait... lemme get this straight, but simply making the shield larger you were able to get a blue cut-off line? Is it really that simple?

it's a combination of these 2 things:

Slightly higher sheild (about 1-2mm)
Curved shield toward bulb (instaad of straight)

I don't know how this will work w/ the factory halogens. It will probably work w/ a 9006 hid setup.

I'll try this out on my '98 SC with projectors.... I have 9005 SilverStars in them right now... would probably make sense to do this while I'm putting my angel-eyes in...

Thanks for the data.

Do you have any pics of the angel eyes during the day? I'm curious about how it looks in the light.

you can't see them in sunlight. Only in cloudy weather, or at night, dusk or dawn.
