Default Engine Harness Removal and Connection clips

So I'm in the process of swaping motors. I was removing the harness from my new motor so i can clean it up.

It seems that every other sensor/injector clip ends up breaking. No mater how carefull I was they just break.

Any one have any simple suggestions before I start removing the one in my car?

So far, I have been lucky on my project. Haven't broken any connectors. Bolts, yes, but nothing electrical. Sounds like the plastic is just getting old and brittle. Is it breaking on the tab you push in or when you try to pull the plug? Maybe try spraying with electrical contact cleaner first. Also, try pushing the contact on further while pressing the tab to release some of the tension.

Try using a heat gun and warming up the plastic before you unclip it. Dont hold the heat gun too close tho or for too long.
Good luck, plastic connectors are very delicate when they get old...

I'll try the heat gun. Maybe the harness is better in my car then the motor I got.

No matter if I was gentle, pushed then pulled. The simple press of the tabs would just "snap" and break.

For kicks I called Lexus for a new harness. $1025! Yikes!
