Congratulations! I remember the time I fired up my engine after doing the valve covers, and the satisfaction that it brought to me. You must have felt ecstatic.

Thanks for all the props! I got the hood on today, axles torqued, buttoned up a few loose ends, drained the water out and put toyota red anitfreeze in. $34.00 a gallon! I was shocked.

Well, I was quite happy to have no codes. Unfortuneately, that only lasted about 5 minutes. Both knock sensors are bad. I took the other ones out from my old motor, what a horrible design in my opinion, and zip tied them to the heads. Drove about 10 miles and no more CEL!. Ran the scanner again when I got home and it's clean.

I'm not tackling that job right away.

Only other issue is when the lights are on and I step on the brake, I get this little car with lights like a bulb is out. It goes out after about min and comes back on only when I step on the brakes. Checked all the lights out back and they're good.

Otherwise the car runs great, drives nice. Needs new tires badly.

Did you check the 3rd brake light as well?

Yep. According to the Owners manual it's some brake light. Guess I'll replace them all and see what happens.

Is there just one bulb in the 3rd brake light?

No it's led's so 1 burning out could cause enough resistance change to trip the light.

Could be a dying bulb, I recommend replacing all of the brake lights.

Well so far she is still running good. Small issues with coolant temp sensor and I need to replace that stupid oil level sensor. It's been my daughters car for the last two years and will move to either me or my wife's car. I bought her a Scion TC. She is so happy! It is a fun little car other than the horrid blind spots.
