Default PCV Valve 1MZ-FE

I think its time to change my PCV Valve and grommet. There's some pretty nasty build up and/or over flow around the perimeter of the valve location.

Does the PCV valve screw in/out or slide out?

You have to release the clip with a pair of pliers and then just pull it out

It really was that simple...

Cleaned the valve area with some engine degreaser that I sprayed on to a rag and used needlenose pliers to pull out the rubber grommet.

Change the PVC everyother oil change (about 20K)...change grommet about every 25-30,000 miles...If it falls in, get the needle nose pliers out. After over 200K miles, been there, done that.

It's good to know that I can still access it with the intake plenum in place. I was a little worried since I forgot to place an order on it, and was wondering if I should wait until I replace before putting everything back together (I have my rear valve cover off).

i think when it's like that, it's about time to change the valve cover gasket as well.

Well I waited off on putting everything together, so I'm going to be replacing the PCV Valve right now.
