Default Need info regarding purchase from spoilerdepot.com

Has anyone purchased a spoiler from spoilerdepot.com? Are you happy with it? Did they accurately match your paint color? What is your overall opinion of the quality? Also, how long has the integrated brakelight lasted?

Thanks - J

I purchased a spoiler from them 6 weeks ago. I have an RX 300.

Here's the thread I posted. It has a link to my photo gallery and 5 pictures of my spoiler.

Am I happy with it?
Absolutely...They painted it and shipped it sooner than thay said they would. It was packed securely.

One note: I had a small issue with the tight plastic wrapping and
taping in the box (in one spot). It was like a drop of water or probably sweat (they're in FL) was between the paint and the plastic wrapper. The paint was barely hazed. I used a little Meguiars scratch-X and then polished, sealed and waxed it. Can't tell from any angle now. It was so slight, I honestly had forgotten about it until now.

Did they accurately match your paint color?
Absolutely...perfect...Toyota 202 Black

What is your overall opinion of the quality? Mine is fiberglass. so it's tough and light. The paint is perfect. The hardware fit beautifully. Installed a a local bodyshop without a hitch ($60).

I recommend them and I'd buy from them again.

How long has the integrated brakelight lasted?
Sorry, no brakelight on mine.

Default Spoiler Depot

I personally deal with Spoiler Depot (aka Freeform) on a weekly basis and have been using them for about three years now. Great company to deal with and many years of experience show.

Spoilers are made of fiberglass and usually use D.O.T. approved brake light when applicable. There are a few companies out there that offer the same thing at a less expensive price, but of course, buyer beware!

Has anyone seen their lip spoilers on E-bay for the 92-96 ES? Any opinions? I might take a closer look at it sometime, I've looked but not payed real close attention, but it might not look bad. It'd be nice to get pics from different angles. I'm not sure the ES really needs a spoiler, a large one would definitely ruin the car, but something subtle might look nice.

Default Thanks for the feedback

Looks like they are a reputable company so I guess I will get a spoiler from them. I forgot to ask, how difficult was the installation?

Thanks again

Yeah Kyle, I've seen it. It is very subtle, and I think the ES needs a little (stress on little) something on the back of it to balance the lines... but that's just me. I'd have to see it in person (or a bunch of pictures) before I even considered ordering it though...

Installation is a snap. I would have done my own if i was on an ES 300. Drill, fill and go.

The spoiler comes with hardware(including gaskets) and instructions, plus an 800 number to call. I provided all this to my installer, as well as pics fom the spoilerdepot.com website to show them the finished product.

Before permanently mounting the spoiler, make sure the drill holes are primed and touched up with the proper touch-up paint. I also asked that they place a small bead of silicone around the drill hole. No problems...Enjoy

I agree, if a spoiler would work it would have to be subtle; it'd be easy to do something real bad to the car. I probably won't buy one, but I might e-mail them sometime and ask for pics from different angles, I'd need to see more pics before I'd consider it as well.

Sounds wise... You'll have to share with the rest of us if you ever do. How much did they run anyway... 300 painted or something?

I picked min up on E-bay, painted for $163, plus $28 shipping and $60 installation.

Total $251

Lexus wanted $425 plus installation for OEM.

Where did you get yours? Was it for an ES? The best price I could find was $175 plus another $75 for painting from spoiler depot.
