Temp needle still above middle
I was supposed to do a coolant and thermostat change but I only did a coolant flush because the thermostat was quite hard to get to. I figured I'd just pay someone to do it.
The problem is I'm not sure if my temp gauge is at normal or is it above normal? I took a picture so some of you guys can help compare your temp needle with mine. Here is mine at operating temp:

Is that where yours is at? I'm just wondering because a few months ago mine was at the second mark. This summer it rised above so i was worried something might be wrong with the cooling system.
Thanks, maybe I'm just too cautious because my commute this summer is a lot harder on the car than usual and I dont want it overheating on me on the highway.

Where was the needle before you did the coolant flush? What kind of coolant did you use? & I assume you did a 50 / 50 mixture & 'burped' the system?
My needle stays on the lower side of the halfway mark.

The needle is where you see it on the picture when I did the coolant flush. Yes, burped the system. For the first few hours after the flush, the temp needle was at the second mark, but then raised up to where it is now.
I have a 98 ES and thats where my needle is at year round, so to me thats a normal position for the temp needle. All is well and we have hot summers here in So Cal..................
