thanks for the write up.......my wife just called and said the alt belt snapped so tomorrow i will be doing this. I plan on doing the PS and AC belt also so i'll be searching these old threads

This is also applicable to Gen2 Camry, except there's less room to work around the PS pump. And no belt covers. And different belt part #s.

yeah , isn't that a trip -- the camry doesn't have the metal piece above the belt

it's like if you're a lexus customer, toyota figures:
better keep em alive so we can keep taking their sweet sweet money
AND
they are pretty retarded when it comes to cars - they might hurt themselves under the hood checking the washer fluid level.... if they ever figure out where the hood release is
