Default Tire Rotation

I have a 05 Es 330 and they came with Turanza tires. No directional tires. Lexus dealer tells me I should rotate them front to back. My auto mechanic says I should rotate them in a X. What is the right way to do it?

And who rotates their tires every 5000 miles? Is this a must? I do every 10,000 miles

I would do X for non directional tires. I would rotate every other oil change.
thats what I do.
Its never a must for 5,000 but the more often you rotate the longer they should last.

Directional tires are front to back/back to front. Explanation should be obvious. Non directional--X pattern, provides even wear down. Rotation depends on how you drive more than mileage. Aggressive driver should rotate sooner than the laid back driver.

I like to criss cross the fronts to the back and just swap the back straight to the fronts without criss-crossing them.
