Default Goodbye Lexus.

I said goodbye to my ES300 today when I picked up my new car. With 260,000miles its death was imminent- more so when I found out it was going to cost to fix the suspension and power steering and brakes. I am now the proud owner of a black 2003 Infiniti I35.

Thanks for everyone's help and input when the Lexus was giving me problems.

Peace.

Sorry to hear that you're getting rid of the ES due to the escalating problems but I guess this is inevitable when the car is 14 yrs old. Nice to hear though that you upgraded in a major fashion to a '03 I35, congrats on picking that up! I was originally thinking of an I35 to replace my totaled ES a few months ago, but could not find the right one I'm looking for since I35's are not as common on the roads as the ES. I opted to go with the G35 and have never been happier with the choice In any case, I'm sure you'll be very happy with the extra HP, smooth and luxurious interior, HIDs (I believe they are standard on the I35), and other nice features. Please post up some pics when you get a chance

I love the G35s- coupe and sedan are equally sexy automobiles. After I started this thread last night, I bid on a nice stock spoiler for my I35- should look hot. I've also been looking for an Infiniti forum as nice as this one, but the only forums I find are all Nissan- even if they say Infiniti. I started reading through a thread about a problem someone had with their Q45 and right after their 1st post, someone posted that their 96 Maxima was having some totaly different problem. Idiots.

Im hoping I wont need it for help with problems, but does anyone know of a good Infiniti forum? Lexusk8 must know of a good one somewhere

Nissan's VQ engines are EXCELLENT engines. I personally love the I35 (I'd get one, only thing stopping me is actually the turning radius, i know it sounds ridiculous) and I know you won't be even so much as slightly disappointed. Congrats on your purchase, let's see some pics

Yep, I'm a member on that forum, and I like the fact that it's geared strictly to the G35 coupe and sedan, yet retains the regular enthusiast feel from other car discussion forums. I'm learning something new everytime I log onto that forum

The nicoclub forum is a good one, though I personally haven't checked that out yet. I've been checking out freshalloy.com (Nissan & Infiniti enthusiast forum), and it's not bad from a general Nissan & Infiniti perspective. I'm sure they have a good I35 forum in there, but I tend to think nicoclub.com is way better.

OK folks, let's turn it over to Zax and his continued discussion of his old ES and new Infiniti..

Lexusk8, would you happen to know if newer infiniti's have RCA jacks on the back of the Bose stereos?
