One of my remote keys has become lazy, and I suspect the battery may need replacing. I have tried opening both remotes, after removing the phillips screw, but the cases will not open. i do not wish to force the two halves apart to the point of breaking. Any ideas?

 

You just need to carefully pry both halves from the key open, and they will eventually come off. It's probably just that they've never been opened before.
