Quetion on Fog Light conversion to HID
Hi..
Just got a Brand New 2006 ES330. I am curious to find out if anyone here has done the fog light conversion to HID or just replace the bulb to a HID quality one? I am planning to change it and make it look more bright.. My friend did the same on his SLK and it looked great... any leads would be highly appreciated...

I may be wrong, but not that I know of.
That is a very bad idea. Minus a very, very exclusive set of a few foglights, they will not accept HID bulbs without massive amounts of glare.
That is a bad safety idea. It'll also look cheap to anyone that knows anything about HID & glare.

Pheonix is right......there's a reason cars don't come stock with factory HID fog lights. A traditional halogen and its yellow-light output cuts fog much more efficiently than the HID spectrum.

I'm pretty sure the bulb size for the fog light on your 2006 ES is 9006. You are better off shopping online for a yellow 9006 bulb than at a local auto parts store (Autozone, Advance Auto). More choices and wider range of prices can be found online

Updates?
Hello SK72, I am in the same situation, just bought a black/black 2006 ES and would like to change out the fog bulb. Have you done it yet? Where are the threads for DIY fog light change so I can try to change out myself. Lastly, anyone have any comments on type of yellow bulb? 2500K / 3000K / 3750K? I assume if we want "bright yellow", we should go with 2500K as it is more yellow than 3750?
