Default Fog Light HID

Need some help with the fog light HID conversion. The housing for the fog bulb is a twist and lock for the bulb, the HID one isn't. How can I get the bulb to stay in there?

check here for proper fitment guide: http://www.xenondepot.com/hid-kits-a...cle-s/2000.htm
you'll need the correct bulb base for it to fit into the housing

I would advise against HID in fog light housings.. I had a 3000K kit in and I absolutely hated it.. the light is not "projected" and its just blinding.. I know some kits are brighter then others though

I have HID in my fogs and they are def brighter than halogen bulbs. As for blinding people, haven't had that issue.

Go with the 2014 LED foglights instead, it's oem and look cool.

not plug and play, plus the older ISX50 fog housing are not the same shape. YMMV

That's why Jeff showed us how to do the minor mods to have them fit and work, I have them on my 07, love them.

Thanks for the plug - it looks like the OP most likely needs 9006-style bulbs, but we have no indication of what they got.

I'll second this one - LEDs are usually a better way to go for Fog Light upgrades, because the smaller housings tend to give a lot of glare for oncoming drivers if you really dial up the brightness by putting HIDs in. LEDs are a more manageable upgrade in light output, and in some cases HIDs are not even really advisable because the stock halogen bulbs run at a lower wattage than even HID conversion kits (usually minimum 35W).

The H11 HID, and 9006 fogs HID you shouldn't have any problems. As long as your headlights and fogs are properly aimed. I've been run this setup for years now.

I never said they weren't brighter then Halogen bulbs... the fog lights are not projectors, the lights reflect off of the chrome housing and the result is light going everywhere instead of where you want it, on the road

You can adjust the fog lights using the adjustment screws but it still doesn't provide the best light output on the road

But it does look great as you can run whatever bulb temp you'd like

Crappy picture, but there is a clear difference from the lowbeam projector to the mirrored housing of the fog lights

Is this what yours looks like XSV?

It will, I have the 13 bumper on my 07. Just follow the instructions from Jeff in modifying the brackets of the foglights.
