It is a mod I am seriously considering. YJC88, was it just a simple swap, bulbs and all?


priced out at my dealer they were $750 for the set of 4 lamps.

Lextasy.com has them for about $350 but I am not sure if that is all four or just one side as pictured on their website.

The only thing that bugs me is the information on the ebay link is wrong:
the description says it fits an '01, It won't.
the description says it will upgrade your ES to look like an '04. It won't, these are not the lights from an 04, they are the style that starts with the '05.

I don't trust ebay stuff when simple information is incorrect.

The last thing, even though the glass looks clear, the signals still flash yellow.

I saw that too Steve, and I had to laugh at such a ridiculous typo mistake like that. Someone must have been misinformed when he/she typed out the Ebay profile. Still makes you wonder if the selling product is totally legit.

 

The newer bodystyle of ES300 came out in Asia around 2001 ...
I guess he is right. So the facelifted ones came out on 2004
It is just an easy swap steviej..... You just need to change the lens and wiring ....

I love the look at the 05 tails.......it will be a very sharp looking mod! & price is reasonable.

 

Dunno...the '05 taillights aren't bad but the '02-'04 style is still better IMO. Both are elegant, but the '05 is just too bland and generic looking to me.

I guess this mod is for you if you just wanna have that "new car look".

 

I ordered my set today. That with a chrome trunk bar and the back end should look real sharp.

I'll post up a picture when it is complete.

You have one of the sharpest-looking '02 ES around. Looking forward to the new pics.

PS How about a new ES330 emblem to complement the upgrade?

 

Looking forward to it Steve! Now to complete it off....were going to have to sit down & 'discuss' a very light & classy (IE: charcoal) tint It won't hurt any vision at night time......but we will get to that subject in the spring face to face so I can show ya.

 

naaahhh, then I would have to drop a 3.3 V6 in it so I wasn't lieing.

I think the 05 tails, the chrome trunk bar and the redesigned roof spoiler will fill out the back.

Your roof spoiler is the colour of your car as opposed to a 'smoked' plastic colour Steve?

 

it comes painted in millenium silver and matches the car, yes.

I like that much better than the 'smoked' one available for the 97 - 01 ES.
