I have a 1995 ES300. And just noticed what may be a problem. I have a ES300 without a sunroof and the center dome light inside the car stopped working recently. I replaced the bulb and the new bulb worked for awhile, but it blew out recently after a few months, I checked the fuse(it's fine).
One thing I noticed is when I bought the new bulb, it had a slightly higher volt rating than what the owner's manual recommended. Could that be the problem? Or is it something else?
If the bulb had a higher voltage rating it should have had the opposite results.......it should have last longer.
There are a lot of inferior manufactured bulbs being sold today and possibly you got one of those. If possible try to get the original type bulb that your car was designed for.
I checked the bulb yesterday, and the filament is still fine, and it's a standard sylvania bulb, so I don't think the bulb is of inferior quality. I have never had any problem with Sylvania bulbs.
I guess I'll replace the bulb once more to see how long it lasts.

Any help is always appreciated::
Check your fuse for the domelight relay. Owners manual should be able to tell you the location of the fuse and amperage.
