Did you paint the fog lights or buy them? Mine look terrible and I'm looking for some. Great look matching the h/l.

painted the inside of the headlights but the fog lights were already black inside. I recently restored the lenses but that’s it
And thanks! The black housings really give the car a better look IMO

they are not. I took apart my stock ones and painted the housing pieces black. Then I bought some headlights on eBay just for the lenses and put the new lenses on the old headlights because they are HID and it’s too expensive to get the entire headlight with that feature. Plus, no one makes any black housing ones that accommodate HIDs.

If you’ll notice, the eBay and Amazon black ones use a flat black, while I used satin, which looks more shiny and better. Also, they blacked out the turn signal and side marker reflectors rendering them useless. That’s why I didn’t go with those and made my own of sorts.

Don't buy headlights unless they are SAE/ DOT certified. This guarantees they have proper beam pattern/output.

Yeah I do notice the color change, I recently restored my headlights recently but I'm not overall satisfied, I didn't protect it well so the summer heat has exposed my imperfections. Also part of me wonders if I do go aftermarket, will I lose the leveling headlight "up-down" check at night (not sure if it does this during the day) when you set the car to the ON position.

I put Q45 on my 2002 es300 back in the days. My 2005 ES330 has stock koito led fog lights. made custom brackets. I did this back in 2005

that’s another reason I kept the stock housing and just changed the lenses. Wanted everything to stay aimed and adjusted from the factory.

Amazing work!!! I would love some more details about how you retrofitted those LED low beam looking things.
