Worth it to go to the track?

Worth it to go to the track?
If you knew many on the forums that had your car & same mods - and were hitting a certain ET, would you find it worth your while (and expense) to go to the track yourself?
My car gets 11.8/11.9 with the mods I have and multiple members have hit that time with the same mods.
I'm struggling with myself to lay down the cash for Drag Radials, Helmet & Track Cost just to do it myself.
Part of me thinks it would be fun.
Part of me thinks its a waste of money, and afterwards, who's really gonna care.
Whatcha think?

Yup - just wonderig what others thought.
I think it would be fun, no doubt... but $700 for DR's, $100 Helmet, $100 for each night at the track - adds up quick! And I already know what my car gets based on others getting 11.8 / 11.9 ET's... w/ same mods.
Right now I guess I'm of the mindset that its just not worth it.

hell yeah it's worth it. not sure why DR's would be $700 cause i got my M/T et streets new shipped for $525 to the door. also not sure what track your going to but most tracks cost about $25 to run as many times as you want or can. you can also ask a buddy or somebody to borrow a helmet. if you just not that into it then i understand but it's a lot of fun and it's safer than doing it on the street.
