1/4 Mile Track Results
My F is broken in now so what to do first? Take it to Atco Raceway I haven't ran down the 1/4 mile since the early 2000's with my RX-7. I was able to get 5 runs in. Temperature was 48-50 degrees.
1st run was just a trial run in auto not even Sport mode ran a 13.341 @ 108 mph.
2nd run Sport mode paddle shifting, trac ON, launch at idle. Ran a 12.929 @ 111.57 mph.

3rd run Sport mode paddle shifting, trac OFF, launch at 1000 rpm. Ran a 12.845 @ 111.67 mph

4th run Sport mode, paddle shifting, trac OFF, launch at 1000 rpm. Ran a 12.959 @ 110.61 mph.

5th run same as last run except I launched at 1300 rpm. Ran a 13.087 @ 109.89.
It seemed like I was losing speed as the night went on. I was shifting at the buzzer. I didn't get to try Auto in Sport mode so I'll have to head back and give that a try. I'd also like to try different launch RPM's. I couldn't get anything better than 2.0 60' times. Tire pressure was a 28psi.

congrats I've owned my F for almost a year and still havent made it out to the track. You can definitely get your 60' down, but 12.8 is not bad. what tires are you on? how much if any wheel slip off the line?

Running the stock Bridgestone RE050A tires. My launches were creating almost no wheel spin which leads me to believe I wasn't being aggressive enough at launch. Maybe at 1500 rpm or more I can pull a 1.9 60'. I'll have to go back to try.

Some good runs, you beat the published times.
Your best bet is trac and stability off, sport mode in F paddle shift. Launching 1500-2k is ideal. I cracked a couple 1.9's stock on street tires, most were 2.0 flats. Heat soak does affect the F so keep the hood open when waiting and ditch the engine cover for the races(i know its pretty but it traps too much heat.).

Dv8 - I actually saw your 12.63 run on youtube the day before I ran mine and used it as my goal being stock. After my 3rd run I thought I had a shot at a 12.6-12.7 run at 112 but times just kept getting slower.

I had a couple launches that just felt slower. When launching the momentum of the stall needs to carry through. In otherwords, you dont want to sit at the staging lights stalled up to 1500rpm waiting, you want to stall, hold and release in a quick manner.
Screw the other lane, you dont have to leave on green thats only for reaction time and elimination competition. Leave whenever you want, the 1/4 mile timer doesnt start till you take off regardless of whats going on in the other lane.
Practice makes perfect.
