Red face DEAD - Drl leds... anyone else?

Any of you ever encounter this?

Well, let me clarify, the OE headlamps which came with a complete front clip [19k on it], do not work properly... as if a voltage regulator is not syncing with the car.

So, had TYC replacements for a while, but now all those LED's are cooked.

How can BOTH OEM headlights not work!?
I've searched top & bottom, ct200h forums, and nothing. I've found one thread where someone describes the same condition as I mention.

Basically, the LED strip is DIM when running or off entirely. Both sides do not work simultaneously. When applying "high beam" the volatage surge kicks the LED's into action where the work - for seconds.

ANYONE have any suggestions? I have the OE headlights. I kind of don't want to bake them and put in an LED strip, as that would be a lot of effort, and almost want to get used ones instead.... I'm tearing my hair out of my head trying to understand. Even the body guys at the shop were stumped, and we've done numerous Lexii over time, none with this issue!

I can't help you directly but I will state that using the Techstream software you can change the options of the oem DRL led strip on the 2IS models.

IIRC its on/off and maybe some level of brightness 1,2,3??

Mind you that it may not be the led strip that failed if they light at all and/or momentarily. You might get the schematic and check that they have power present at the plug. If not, you need to follow that back to the module that controls them.
Good luck...

Isn't there a option in the Navi radio (if yours is equipped with it) to turn on or off the DRL? I recall seeing this before
