I’ve recently noticed a couple of interior issues with my 2015 CT200h with only 50,000 miles (always garaged) and was curious if anyone’s been ailed by the same defects:
1. See these white dots on the drivers side of the center arm rest console? First I thought they were splash stains, but on close examination the plastic is actually damaged and pitted. I don’t wear anything on my belt or pocket that would continuously hit the plastic there. Only possible idea is it’s caused by the metal part of the seatbelt hitting it, but the plastic shouldn’t be so fragile and I don’t think we’re that careless. Any thoughts?
2. Second issue is the nuluxe on the front drivers seat. I noticed one side is starting to wrinkle and feels really rough if you run your hand against it, like skin that’s drying and shriveling. You can see it in the horizontal grain pattern which is perpendicular to the vertical stripe pattern. It seems like it’s showing early signs of cracking. It’s where the right thigh would be, and only happens around there. It’s obviously wear and tear, but I don’t want it to crack and tear. Tonight I applied some leather conditioner but I’m wondering if anyone else has this issue too with the CT200h nuluxe pattern.

When I had my 15 with the same interior, i didn't notice the vinyl seats doing that. but yeah just condition it and hope for the best. seems like a wear pattern. anyone sit in that seat usually?
as far as the dots.. i vaguely remember seeing that on mine. very much so seat belt strikes. you can probably buff/polish/heat it out. you may have to apply individual attention to each dot rather than wiping it.

Thanks for the reply. It's the driver's seat so yeah someone's always sitting in it haha.
The white dots are definitely the seatbelt. The same type of "damage" is seen on the interior B pillar where the seatbelt retracts.
your seat belt fibers also look a bit frayed on the edges. i wonder how much it would cost to replace the belt. or if lexus would replace it for free as its a safety item.
