Hi Guys!

I have a strange problem with my Ct200h.

My front and rear dome lights stay on.

I enter my car as normal, lights go on when opening the car. Then i start it and they should turn off, but they don't. Sadly front and rear lights stay on.
When I turn my car off, and lock it they also remain on.

I swapped the 4 sensors in the doors but it did not work.

ps, I have checked, and no I have not pressed the reading light buttons.

 

Simplest stuff first - the three (3) position dome light selector has:
1) all on, 2) switched by the doors and 3) all off. Is this switch somehow
fouled up? Does it move freely and make any change to the dome lights?

Second simplest, does the back door (hatch) have a dome light switch?

1: I've tried selecting other positions, but that does not work. Even when it is on "Off" the lights remain on.

2: The car has a trunk dome light in the right of the trunk. It works a it should.

Btw, i noticed that when i start my car in the morning, no problems at all. I can start it a 100 times and everything is fine.
But when my car is the rest of the day at the parking lot at work, and i turn it on on the end of the day, the interior lights stay on.

It is possible that it is a heat/sunlight related problem?

 

It has a timer on mine so it dims and turns off after a wee while

 

Yes but I turned the timer off. And even with the timer on, the lights should not stay on while im driving the car.

 

I would be all over that light and switch. Remove it, un plug it, check the function of the switch. Take it all apart inspect everything maybe even change the bulb just to be thorough

 

My girlfriend also has a CT. I have changed the complete dome lightunit. No difference sadly..
