Default Dvdgpsnav headunit review

Ive looked at doing the same just to try it out if ever time permits. Hold onto the original in case it goes south. Having android auto to me, may just make it worth it even if the screen was out of sight.

Actually, its possible to install an OEM system system it seems if you could fine a used one. By possible I mean relatively easy (anything is possible). They sell a aftermarket Chinese setup which I wouldn't recommend, but I did read up on how they installed the thing on a non-nav for reference, pretty simple.

Anyone know a setup MADE for our car that isn't the Chinese version like this one?

Peter made a extremely helpful video on this unit, which I was about to pull the trigger on to replace my nav unit but after seeing the thorough review on it I decided that it was a massive downgrade to the built-in unit. BUT, I would get it if I didn't have a nav screen at all. It is three times over OP's budget but I agree with E46T on the location and safety as this is a much better option and... well, it's a Lexus, it deserves a proper unit and I haven't seen an option other than this Chinese version =\

did you have to buy a new right side leather arm rest to fit the corner of the screen or was the oem one able to form around it?
