My check hybrid system light came on today, the car continued to drive as normal but the hybrid system did not function. I brought it to the dealer and they said the battery needed to be replaced. Still under the 96k hybrid warranty. Anyone else have issues with the hybrid battery?

 

Thank God it's under warranty cuz they will always replace it if there's an issue, even though it's not always necessary.

My 2014 is over 600,000 miles and my battery is still good. Surprised you're having issues.

I've looked and not a lot of this happening at all. App day long people +250k miles on original battery.. although they say 12-15 yrs.

 

Are you sure it's not the 12V battery that needs to be replaced?

Or that the shop correctly diagnosed it? Either way, if Lexus is offering a free traction (hybrid) battery, don't argue
