Smile rim size change

i want to go to a 15" or 16" inexpensive steel or aluminum rim for mounting winter tires. caliper clearance seems to be the issue. places like discount tire or summit racing only recognize the 17" option but i'm sure there are 15's and 16's that will fit, just haven't been able to determine exactly which ones. as near as i can tell, the smaller sizes offer a significant cost savings as well as an increase in ride comfort. with proper tire size choice the diameters can be matched almost exactly so no problems with speedo. would appreciate any guidance. thank you.

Thank you for thinking of us, arkusvt!

Your vehicle does allow fitment of 15-inch and 16-inch tires and wheels. I just sent you a PM outlining how to view what fits on our website

Check out the Pacer Mod 16x6.5 5x100 lug spacing 42mm offset. I'm running them with some winter tires right now and they were super cheap.

forget all that. get a used set of 3rd gen prius wheels. super light and super cheap. and if you get the 2014+ MY prius wheels, they're engineered to deform in a crash (Professional E46CT insider tip)
