Default License Plate socket ?

I have a interesting issue. I have a 2014 F-Sport CT200h but the rear hatch was replaced before I received the car. I am not sure if I have a 2014 and up hatch or a 2011-2013 hatch. The license plate socket does not fit in a 194 led bulb type. Does any one recongize if this is for a 2014 and up led bulb assembly?

AFAIK only the 2014 and up got LEDs. And those likely wouldn't use a 194 socket but a proprietary sealed (expensive) light unit. I'm not sure what you pulled out in that pic.

Remove the modules you have and see what they are. Are they not lighting up? What are you trying to do exactly?

Well, I have no lights at all because the socket in there right now cannot fit into the plug that I am showing in the picture.

Fairly certain you have an old hatch then cause that's not a 194 plug. See if you can do a search on ebay for some 14+ LED modules so you can plug and play. from what i understand looking at this in curiosity before the hatch is same but the plastic rear piece which contains the license plate lights is different. check it out.

remove what you have now and compare it to parts on ebay for 14+

should take minutes to remove

btw what color is your car? i see a blue hatch. that color didn't come in pre 2014. so if your car is blue, you likely have a 14 hatch. unless they have you a 13 plastic piece and painted it to match the hatch.

Found some aftermarket solutions if you just want light. should be plug and play.

Ultrasonic Blue.

I should have been clear in my initial post. The current socket in there can fit a 194 bulb no problem but the plug that I am showing in the picture was left disconnect and cannot fit into the license plate bulb socket that is placed in there.

Can anyone with a 2014 and up CT200h confirm that this plug is the same?
