So we recently bought a 2011 CT200h

we really love it and test drives it was really good, but we didnt test it on rough surfaces...

so its making a worrying noise and was hoping someone in the know might be able to help, made a video here to make it easier to identify...

how long have you had the car?

first things first... are your tires inflated to the right weight? if they're over inflated, you'll tend to ride harder and will feel what can seem to be too much feedback on bumps, etc.

then, check your struts/mounts and make sure everything is nice and tight, and struts aren't leaking.

we checked the tyres everything seems to be balanced

the only other times this may happen is with some hard breaking too, but not as bad

will look into checking the struts and mounts

 

did you ever get this resolved?

GF's prius seems to be doing the same thing. rides fine on any other road, but get a lot of shaking and noise from the steering wheel/column on bumps. i'm starting to think it may be the steering rack, or worn bushings

we have sent the video to our dealer to examine and waiting a call back from him

got a 1 year warranty so making most of that right now

hope you get your problem sorted and will update here once thats been done
