Exclamation How to Remove A Pillar

Hello,

I'm looking to remove the A-Pillar to run the wires down from my dash cam.
Does anyone have any photo instructions or video on how to do it?

Do I have to disconnect battery for the air bag? (disconnecting only the negative, then connecting the negative gain after).

Much help needed, thank you everyone.

You just need to pull slightly up and outward (towards center of windshield) to remove the a pillar, they are held in by plastic tabs and it usually snaps into retainer clips, be gentle but firm, otherwise they will break.

Using a trim removal tool would help as well, if you don't have one, a flat head WITH a microfiber towel works too.

FYI: disconnect the positive terminal too.
Remove the ground clamp first, THEN the positive terminal.
When reconnecting the terminal clamps, attach the positive clamp, THEN the ground clamp last.

Hope this helps.

Yea it does. I ended up pushing the wires in without removing the pillars. Around the top lining, and top pillar, lol.
